Reserve Team Manager
Started off signing for barnston as have known Burgs for years through football, played a few games with the firsts and was asked to help the reserves last year where they were very successful, the reserves got off to a bad start this year and was asked to take over. I've played the game over the years and been around academy and step football. Hoping this season is the season to turn things round at the club. Barnston is a brilant club to be involed in, i'm always around supporting and having a drink in the bar after!

Archie George
Social Media Manager
I'm Archie, and I'm the clubs Social Media Manager, a role I took on in December 2025. I look after all of the clubs online platforms, including the website, Facebook, Instagram and X. My role covers everything from matchday posts, fixtures and results to club updates, events and capturing photos of the players on matchdays.
My aim is to continue improving the clubs social media presence, helping to showcase the club, the players and the great people behind the scenes. I'm passionate about supporting the clubs progress this season and hopefully being a part of thr journey for many seasons to come, Up The Barno!"

Chris Tilbury
Under 15's Manager
Joined Barnston this season with a team that has been together since they were four years old — a group that’s grown together, developed over time, and welcomed new players along the way. We have a fantastic U15s squad, and there’s no doubt some of these players will be pushing into the first team in the future. Barno is a great club, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future holds. Up The Barno!

Dan Tyler
Under 16's Manager
I joined Barnston in the summer of 2025 with the aim of developing an Under 16s team. With many years’ experience in youth football, I have a strong passion for the game and take great pride in developing young players and watching the team grow.

Under 18's Assistant Manager

Jacob Morgan
Under 18's Manager
I joined Barnston at the start of the 24/25 season excited to work with a talented group of players. Jumping from U8’s football to U16’s had its challenges but the boys and the club made the transition easy. I take great pride in watching the boys from my side progressing in their footballing career with some now playing for the Barnston first team/reserves as well as the Bishop’s Stortford college. I hope that this season we’re able to bring home some silverware which the boys thoroughly deserve. Up the Barno!

Paul Akers
Head of Football & First Team Assistant Manager
I am first team assistant manager, I joined Barnston AFC in 2023 as 1nder 17's manager and was very fortunate to have a great group of lads who went on to win the league and cup double two years on the spin! In 2024 I teamed up with Burgs and the 1st team where we continue to try and keep pushing the club forward and hopefully have a bit of success along the way, Up The Barno!

Matthew Frew
First Team Manager
I’m Matt (aka Burgs), and I’ve been managing the Barnston Men’s 1st Team since the 24/25 season—a season that brought plenty of success and set the tone for what we’re building here at Barno. I’ve been around semi‑pro football since I was 16—playing, managing, coaching, arguing with refs… you name it. Football is a massive part of my life, and I love bringing all that experience to Barno every week. When I’m not in the dugout pushing for three points, you’ll most likely find me in the bar – if you’re about on a Saturday, come say hello, grab a drink, and get involved. The more support we have, the better. Up the Barno!
